The JodyJazz Hand Hammered Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece, 8* is a limited edition mouthpiece which has been hand-finished by a master cymbal craftsman. It has been designed with playability and adaptability in mind. Less energy is needed for the work-hardened brass to resonate, aiding sustain. Perfect for both jazz and contemporary music, the hammered mouthpieces are suitable for all playing styles and sits in the middle of the tonal spectrum.
Consistent notes throughout the full range are made easy with the facing curve of this mouthpiece, and straight side walls offer focus for louder volumes. A large chamber ensures excellent sub-tones with additional softness and warmth, while the chamber shape prevents the sound from being too bright or too dark. There is also the innovative "Patch Bay" - a small recess in the beak with space for a protector patch mouthpiece cushion (one patch already included). One of only 300 pieces in the rose gold finish, this exquisite JodyJazz mouthpiece is a functional work of art.

Inspired by the tonal quality of hand-hammered cymbals, Jody Espina sought the same sonic properties in saxophone mouthpieces. Paul Francis, a famous cymbal craftsman, has hammered every mouthpiece and ligature in this limited edition run. The resulting compressed bronze is stronger and produces additional warmth. It plays as beautifully as it looks with its unique design.
