A myriad of flexible tonal shaping options are presented to ensure you can find the right sound, regardless of your mix, style or genre. Five distinctive drum kits have been carefully chosen to help deliver the power and punch that contemporary drum production requires. Each of these kits can be mixed and matched using up to four different kit pieces, allowing you to create a hybrid setup, stamping out a sonic signature for your productions. Encompassing a wide range of advanced kit editing, mixing and mastering sections to help further sculpt and shape your tone, Heavy is every producer's dream. Easily tweakable FX let you add compression, saturation, ambience and reverb to individual parts of the kit or the entire drum bus for a more global impact on your sound design. For experienced sound designers, and mixing and mastering engineers, Heavy offers multi-out capabilities, letting you process your tracks independently using third-party plug-ins and processors to get the exact sound you're after. Conversely, less proficient engineers and producers can take advantage of one of the six onboard mix presets, curated by industry professionals to add extra punch, weight and sheen to your drums with one click.
Getting the sound right at the source is the key to achieving professional mixes that sound radio-ready. Using a collection of the highest quality drums, recording studio, recording equipment and drummers, Heavy delivers a sophisticated sound that's ideal for a wide range of groovy musical genres. Only the best in class was used for the recording of this session, using what many would call the 'desert island' drums of choice, capturing each hit with incredible detail and nuance. Ideal for songwriters, musicians or producers, Heavy will instantly unlock the sound of professional recordings, helping you to carve a name for yourself in the industry to drive your career forward.
Recording and engineering drums come with their own unique set of challenges. The space, noise levels and equipment needed all create difficulties for most musicians without access to a professional recording studio 24 hours a day. Knowing this, the UJAM's Virtual Drummer Heavy has been meticulously recorded to provide you with a plethora of different beats and phrases to cover a wide range of aggressive genres. Helping you to get your ideas recorded faster than ever, Heavy comes with over 1380 patterns and rhythms in 60 unique styles, spanning everything from rock, heavy metal and punk beats. Encompassed within the phrases included with UJAM Heavy, there are independent sections for common song structures, including intros, verses, choruses, fills and endings to help you quickly identify the right groove to build the foundation of your song.
No matter your skillset or production knowledge, Virtual Drummer Heavy has been designed to let you get studio-ready results in a matter of minutes. No deep menu diving, complicated non-musical terms or clustered interfaces, just a simple layout that offers easy tweaking to get the sound you want fast.
Providing you with only a few key controls, you are awarded the flexibility to customise the performance of your Virtual Drummer to get realistic results quickly. Huminsation controls are presented as micro timing parameters, including Feel and Humanize, injecting the signature 'push and pull' of a live drummer performing in front of you. Employing an intuitive drag-and-drop system, you can import phrases from your Virtual Heavy Drummer into your DAW to edit individual notes to customise the performance to the exact needs of your project.
No matter your skillset or production knowledge, Iron 2 has been designed to let you get studio-ready results in a matter of minutes. No deep menu diving, complicated non-musical terms or clustered interfaces, just a simple layout that offers easy tweaking to get the sound you want fast.
The perfect solution for contemporary composers, UJAM Virtual Guitarist Iron 2 allows you to inject your production with a fierce, roaring guitar tone that you might not have access to otherwise. In most cases, getting the best distorted electric guitar sound for more extreme genres of music requires your amplifier to be loud, deafeningly loud. Save your ears and your neighbour's sanity by harnessing the power of a roaring guitar stack in your DAW.
As well as non-guitarists, guitarists with their own equipment will still be able to benefit from Iron 2. Production-ready sounds from the get-go and ultra-realistic results combined with ease of use means you can get your ideas down faster than ever before your creative flame burns out. Simply punch in your MIDI performance and let Iron 2 do the rest without worrying about connecting your large system and losing that one special idea.
Pushing the envelope, the UJAM Virtual Guitarist Iron features all of the micro timing parameters available in other releases. Everything from humanization, swing, feel and speed controls all present an opportunity to create customised performances that sound authentic within a dense rock, metal or punk mix.
There's nothing quite like the sound of an overdriven guitar amplifier, tearing through soundwaves like the teeth of a saw. Reserved for those times when only the most aggressive and powerful sound will suffice, Iron 2 encompasses the dark side of music and matches the distinctive performance styles with a destructive sound. Starting from the guitar, a classic American-style solid body guitar equipped with high-output humbucker pickups provides the perfect platform for sustain, bite and snarl. Similar to other Virtual Guitarist releases, UJAM Iron features a dedicated pickup selector dial, letting you morph between bridge and neck with ease to shape the tone of your guitar. This is ideal when moving between rhythm to lead playing to be on the right pickup for the job.
The playing style can be defined by the character switch, altering the position of the picking hand from the bridge to the neck, changing the tonality of your guitar. This goes hand-in-hand with the pickup position dial, letting you unlock a tremendous level of unique guitar tones and sounds.
Shaping the sound of your guitar are the stompbox effects. 30 of them to be precise. These stompbox effects are pre amplifier, meaning they affect the signal going into your amplifier to alter the response drastically, dynamically responding to your playing style. Everything from traditional overdrives to great-sounding wahs, delays, chorus and reverbs are all presented here for a wide tonal palette to experiment with.
Crafting the overall sound of your Virtual Guitarist, Iron includes five amplifier types with a dedicated focus EQ and drive control to fine-tune your overall tone. Each amplifier uses a combination of modelled boutique amplifier and cabinet selections to carve a crushing tone in your mix. An additional amp mode is presented with the Direct control. This removes any amplifier influence and gives you a completely dry D.I guitar signal, allowing you to use any of your favourite third-party amplifier and cabinet simulation plug-ins. Ideal for the contemporary mixing engineer with a plethora of real and simulation amplifiers, here, you can craft a tone from the ground up to match the visceral aggression your session needs.
Last in your signal chain is the Finisher FX. These range from sensible guitar mixing techniques with EQ and compression to outlandish and extreme effects that can transform your sound into a completely new instrument entirely.
Alternative guitar styles can be a difficult beast to conquer for the most veteran guitar players. Difficult techniques that push the creative boundary are rife within most songs. With over 350 unique phrases in 30 different styles featuring expertly sampled performances from a top session musician, you can become the master of the mystic arts of extreme guitar playing instantly. Virtual Guitarist Iron 2 also includes a single switch to drop your tuning to Drop D, a common technique used by extreme guitarists to get a lower range for added energy and heaviness to your sound.
