By isolating the microphone from any environmental noises and interference, you can enjoy a cleaner audio signal from your microphone into your PA, recording mixer, audio interface or any other means of production. The Kickstand Isolator works off the principle of countermotion, whereby sound or vibrations are coming out from the bass drum and then causing sympathetic vibrations with your drum riser, stage or studio room. These vibrations work together and cause loud interference in your microphone signal and can muddy the sound of your instrument. This happens when the vibration and bass drum sounds move together and combine 'in-phase'. To reduce this effect almost completely, the Kickstand isolator is built on 2-inch thick foam isolation, constructed from high-density, open-cell acoustic foam that decouples your microphone stand from the floor. Now, you never need to worry about 'bouncy' stages or unstable drum risers as the Kickstand isolator takes care of this for you.
Stabilize your microphone
As well as decoupling your microphone from the surface, the Kickstand Isolator also completely stabilizes your microphone in place, ensuring that your microphone will never move and therefore not introduce any phase-shifting throughout your recording or live show.
