Cut above the rest
A lead guitar tone like no other, Trivium Ampknob Lead has been meticulously dialled into Corey Beaulieu's specifications by Jens himself. Tonally, the sound is cutting, throaty and full of that midrange goodness that ensures lead guitar playing can cut through a dense metal mix with wall-to-wall rhythm guitars, vocals, bass and drums.
Much more than just the amplifier tone itself, Trivium Ampknob Lead includes under-the-hood goodies and FX for added sweetness to your tone. A coming together of two effects, the Chorey effect is a blend between a chorus and doubler with controls for the "amount" and "depth" of the effect. This acts as a micro-pitch function to add width and thickness to your single-note lead playing.
In addition to the "Chorey" effect, a classic delay has been included with switches to sync the delay times to your DAW project tempo and for stereo ping-pong operation. Controls over the Time, Feedback and Level ensure that you can blend the repeated delays into your signal for attention-grabbing, wide lead sounds.
Capture your creativity
When creativity strikes, it's crucial to seize the moment. That's why Trivium Ampknob Lead standalone comes equipped with an integrated recording feature. This allows you to quickly and effortlessly capture your ideas without the need to launch a DAW. This feature transforms your perfect amplifier plugin into a comprehensive creative tool, enabling you to record your riffs and melodies before they're lost forever. Whether you're playing solos at home or jamming with your band, the recording function ensures none of your ideas are lost.
Hone your skills
An often underappreciated feature of Trivium Ampknob Lead is the built-in tuner. It keeps you perfectly in tune, whether you're jamming along to your favourite tracks or laying down your own ideas, ensuring your playback is free of any sour notes. In addition to the tuner, the plugin includes a metronome to help you refine your skills. You can customise the meter, accent, and even automate speed increments, tailoring your practice sessions to continually enhance your accuracy for precise metal riffs or soaring lead solos.
The future of speaker modelling with IRDX technology
The Trivium Lead plug-in utilises IRDX (Impulse Response Dynamix) technology, which takes speaker modelling to the next level. Developed by producer Jens Bogren, this advanced technology adds dynamic and true-to-life speaker behaviour to static impulse responses. While impulse responses are excellent at capturing the tonality and resonance of a guitar cabinet, they lack dynamics. IRDX technology bridges this gap by simulating the natural reaction of real-life guitar speakers to the input from the amplifier. The result is an amp simulator that reacts like a real amp, seamlessly fits into any mix without sounding stale, and feels great to play through.
