More powerful amplifiers, stronger drivers, and advanced DSP come together to give the Thump 2 range everything that made the originals so beloved, and a whole lot more to go with it.
Mackie have now added two DSP features for maintaining a smooth-running show. This subwoofer features four custom voicings that can be switched to fit the music being played in any venue, tuning your low-end with Flat, Deep, Punch and Variable modes. Polarity inversion for achieves focused bass that doesn't leak backwards, and the variable crossover allows for a further customised sound.
The Thump118S provides renewed amplification, with 1400 W of Class D amplification, this speaker boasts even snappier transient response, and beefy low-end. Plus the redesigned woofer and compression drivers further improve sound quality and maximum output. Stereo and mono summing options make it easy to chain subwoofers for a full system, or just keep one in a smaller venue.
