Vintage-Style Compression Module

The Lindell Audio 7X500VIN 500 Series Compressor is a vintage-style compression module design for 500 series racks. The compressor module utilises FET-based technology, similar to 60’s style compression units with a variable mix control that allows you to blend both compressed and uncompressed signals together for optimal control. The simple and effective 3-way switches allows you to set the attack, release and ratio with ease, optimising your workflow and streamlining the compression process. The straight-forward design features a switchable control for the ratio, allowing you to switch between 100:1, 12:1 and 4:1 ratios, so you can cater for a range of applications.

Mix Control

The variable mix control on the Lindell Audio 500 Series Compressor provides the perfect balance between compressed and uncompressed signals, allowing you to dial in the desired amount while actively listening for changes in tone and volume. Blending the dry signal back in, allows you retain some of the original dynamics for added clarity. The mix functionality allows you to find the sweet-spot for the sound you're compressing.

Integrated Side Chain Filter

The 7X500VIN 500 Series Compressor also includes an integrated highpass side chain filter which is highly useful for fine-tuning your dynamics. For example, the sidechain filter is ideal for compressing drum tracks, giving you the ability to compress your snare sound while the ensuring the kick doesn’t push you over the threshold. The three settings to choose from (off, 100Hz and 300Hz) gives you all the benefits of sidechaining without having to patch the external signal into your compression module.

Monitoring is handled by the 20 LED gain-reduction meter, that allows you to monitor your mix exceptional accuracy.
