The Ibanez KIKO100-TRR Kiko Loureiro is designed and manufactured using only the finest components, and with meticulous attention to detail. The alder body with a maple top ensures a glorious combination of tonewoods which provide a balanced sound that is not only bright and resonant, but also full to the brim with clarity across the board. Like any guitar built using quality tonewoods, it will reward you with tonal development over time and multiple uses. The bolt-on neck is a 5-piece blend of maple and walnut, and contributes an additional attack to the tonal palette, as well as providing a highly comfortable playing experience – especially when paired with the rosewood fingerboard.

Additional access to the higher reaches of the fretboard is also provided lower horn scoop body shape, and when you hit those high notes, bending and tapping will be as easy as it gets thanks to the scalloped frets at the top of the board. What’s more, with the tilt in jack feature providing enhanced security for your cable, you won’t have to focus on anything other than your performance, so you can rock on right through the night.

The Ibanez KIKO100-TRR Kiko Loureiro faithfully recreates the diverse voice of Kiko’s versatile playing style by ensuring players have maximum control over their tone. This is in no small part thanks to the spellbinding DiMarzio pickups. It's comprised of two powerful humbuckers at the neck and bridge, with an equally powerful single coil in the middle. The bridge humbucker provides those searing, sharp lead tones perfect for slicing through the mix – while the neck humbucker gives a more rounded sound that is suited to those more jazz influenced styles. Whatever your flavour, both will ensure a nicely balanced sound with a medium output. The pickup in the middle is more powerful than your average single coil in order to keep pace with the humbuckers, and brings a warmth to the table that is the perfect juxtaposition to its DiMarzio counterparts.

The Ibanez KIKO100-TRR Kiko Loureiro also features an extensive switching system with a 5-way pickup selector and push/pull volume that allows for precise and near endless tonal variation. If the volume pot switch is pushed down, then different pickup combinations from the selector can be accessed compared to when it is pulled up, and when this is paired with the separate tone knob, your options are truly limitless. There is also an Edge tremolo bridge that allows for serious whammy dives and exceptionally creative expression, all the while holding your guitar firmly in tune with a precise intonation and comfortable action to boot.
