The G9240 Resonator comes from the Gretsch Roots collection, aiming to resurrect classic designs from the past and bring their unique tones to the modern stage. It is perfect for creating both metallic and loud tones that are ideal for genres like Delta blues. Equipped with a Gretsch Ampli-Sonic diaphragm resonator cone, hand-spun in Eastern Europe and crafted from pure aluminium, this model creates distinctive metallic overtones as well as the classic Delta-blues sound. It has been mounted to a mahogany body, a material chosen for its warmth and booming projection. This, on top of the katalox fingerboard, provides an additional sustain and dark resonance.
