Originally conceived by Gibson in 1958, the original Flying V didn't take off as expected, and it wasn't until blues guitarists such as Albert King and Dave Davies, drawn in by the unique character, revived the model and renewed popularity, resulting in a rebirth in the late 1960s. Since then has remained in regular production and has been a popular tool for guitarists including Jimi Hendrix, Billy Gibbons, Marc Bolan and James Hetfield to name a few.

Now you too can gain the iconic look thanks to this faithful recreation by Epiphone. It's a guitar born for the stage with a design that's classic, but still allows you to stand out from the crowd thanks to the glossy ebony finish, which brings an edge of distinction to the model.
