The DiMarzio Super Distortion® S pickup is intended primarily for the classic slanted bridge position in Stratocaster® style guitars. As such it has a tighter bass response than the full size Super Distortion® humbucker, while treble frequencies are warmer and smoother. Its high output means that it can push tube amplifiers into huge levels of overdrive, making it perfect for many styles of rock and metal.
