Sample Rate Reduction & Modulation

The Red Panda Bitmap's sample rate reduction creates in-harmonic overtones and aliasing distortion. When this reduction is done subtly, it's great for adding sizzle and high-end buzz to certain instrumentation. Extreme settings provide sounds reminiscent of 8-bit video games for a truly unique tone. The Bitmap is also capable of sample-and-hold sounds to achieve that analog bitcrusher style tonality. Sample rate modulation adds subtle in-harmonic motion to give your sound a range of entirely new sonic characteristics. This modulation can be used with either Triangle, Square, or random waveform modulation options. The Red Panda Bitmap is ideal for guitar, bass, synthesizers, drum machines, and many other instruments or line-level sources.

Controls

• Mix: Controls the blend between from your dry to wet signal
• Crush/Rate: Controls the bit reduction or modulation rate
• Freq: Adjusts the sampling rate. Turning counter-clockwise reduces the frequency
• Level: Controls the output volume
• Crush/Mod: Selects the function of the Crush/Rate knob
• Lo/Hi: Three-position input gain toggle (for Crush mode)
• Waveform: Selects between Triangle, Square and Random sample rate modulation options (for Mod mode)
• Expression Pedal Input: When an expression pedal is connected, it controls the Freq parameter
