Limitless potential. The Cort Artisan B4 is equipped with a pair of powerful Bartolini MK-1 active pickups. Characterised by their ability to punch through the mix with pure power, active pickups are crafted to give your bass sound that extra layer of depth. Producing thick, warm mids and sparkling highs – the MK-1’s provide a beautifully balanced tone that simply oozes with quality.

They’re versatile, too. From punk, to rock – or even pop – you can count on the Artisan B4 to deliver in every musical situation. A 3-way pickup selector lets you find the perfect balance between the two pickups, so you can customise your tone, your way. Fretless feel

The Cort B4FL features the unique sound and feel you can only get from a fretless bass. With no fret wires acting as barriers to your movement around the fingerboard, you can perform smooth slides and glissandos up and down the scale. The panga panga used for the neck and fingerboard is supremely sleek - a stunning playing surface that your fingertips will fall in love with. And, as is a bonus with all fretless basses, if your tuning drops out mid-song, you can compensate by adjusting your playing positions. In other words, you aren't held back by frets. Equipped with a five-piece pang panga neck and fretboard, the B4 is ideal both picking and slapping techniques. Transitions between frets are smoother than ever, as your hand glides across the silk-like surface of the fretboard. What’s more – the swamp ash body is calved into a double-cutaway shape, letting you reach the highest notes without stress or struggle. So you can solo, slap, and pick for hours of practice and performance.

It's exceptional. The Markbass MB-1 EQ system loaded into this guitar will give you even greater control over your tone. With treble, mid, and bass dials, you'll be able to manipulate your sound until it's just right.
