The Ashdown ABM-500 EVO III employs a unique hybrid design to provide the versatility of a solid state amplifier but with the valve warmth due to the single 12AX7 valve in the preamp circuit. Like traditional valve amps the AMB-500 begins to add crisp valve warmth and grit when raised to high volumes whilst the valve drive control can be adjusted to achieve even high gain bass tones perfect for rock and modern metal bass tones.
Versatile Equalizer
Designed to offer the advanced control of a graphic equalizer but with the simple interface of a 3-band equalizer the ABM-500 offers unbeatable tonal shaping allowing it to excel in a huge variety of music styles. With bass, middle and treble controls you can fine tune your tone to allow it pop in any live mix whilst the shelving sliders deliver advanced tweaking ideal for perfecting your tone.
When the shelving sliders are set in the centre position the three knobs function just like a classic 3-band EQ. But if you require more flexibility, the additional sliders allow you to fine tune the EQ in the regions the standard controls can't reach, providing a huge range of variation.
Sub-Harmonic Generator
Incorporating an innovative sub-harmonic generator the AMB-500 accurately replicates the main signal an octave lower to produce thick and rumbling tones. The sub level is independently controllable and lets you create unique tones ranging from deep sub bass right down to subterranean funk.
On Board Compressor
Featuring a single knob control the ABM-500's on board compression is extremely easy to use and makes all the difference to your live sound. Simply engage the button to hear a powerful and even tone sure to fill out any live mix.
