Focusrite has now added support for PCs with the release of the Clarett Windows driver. This new driver allows you to run the Clarett interfaces with your Thunderbolt-equipped Windows computer. The driver delivers identical functionality to that experienced on a Mac system, allowing you to enjoy the sub 3 milliseconds round trip latency and the reliable and stable operation experienced by Mac users. The ultra-low latency performance allows you to record and monitor your music projects in real-time for optimal audio performance. The driver also supports Focusrite Control - the mixer software from Focusrite designed for easy configuration of monitoring and routing setups (which is now available for Windows). Additionally, future iterations of the Windows driver will add support for Thunderbolt 3 Type C connectivity and the range of Red interfaces.
Included Softube and Focusrite Plug-Ins
Included are a collection of professional sounding plug-ins comprised of Softube's world-class Time and Tone Pack, with SAR-1R Reverb, Tube Delay and Saturation Knob. This is complemented by the Red 2 & Red 3 AAX, AU & VST plug-in suite which accurately models Focusrite’s classic Red range hardware equalizer and compressor. The Clarett 8 features innovative new microphone preamps designed specifically for the Clarett series which provide plenty of gain with the lowest possible distortion and noise ratio allowing for a crystal clear signal. Additionally they also include a unique "Air" feature which emulates the analogue model of the iconic Focusrite ISA microphone preamps to provide a true analogue style tone at a fraction of the cost.

Versatile Input/Output Connections
Incorporating 18 audio inputs and 20 outputs within a 1U rack space, eight analogue inputs, 10 analogue outputs, stereo SPDIF I/O and eight channels of ADAT I/O the Clarett 8 is one of the most versatile rack mountable interfaces available. The additional ADAT output is ideal for sending audio to an external D/A for line output expansion, while the input can be used to bring in eight additional digital mic pre channels for maximum flexibility.
Accessible Metering & Monitoring
Featuring a multi-channel LED metering the Scarlett Clarett 8 provides analogue and digital input levels and main monitor outputs metering for real time visualisation. The monitoring section also includes a level control, dim and mute controls for hardware adjustments on the fly.
Software Mixer & Dual Headphone Outputs
Loaded with two high performance headphone outputs the Scarlett 8 delivers plenty of output volume on a high impedance perfect for both tracking and mixing. Additionally the Focusrite Control software mixer is designed for easy user configuration of monitoring and routing setups making software integration easier than ever before. Simple and intuitive to use, Focusrite Control also allows immediate access to internal hardware functions.
