The Quantum 2 Thunderbolt Audio Interface delivers exceptional speed and high-quality results. With its high speed Thunderbolt 2 connectivity, and the ability to record straight to DAW, removing any need for DSP, the Quantum 2 is PreSonus' fastest, lowest latency audio interface.

Flexible and Expandable

The PreSonus Quantum 2 features multiple connections, including 2 combo mic/instrument inputs and 2 combo mic/line inputs that deliver superior sounds for your microphones and instruments. Each of these connections features a digitally-controlled XMAX preamp with +48 phantom power for connecting in condenser microphones. There are also 4 balanced live-level outputs for connections to your monitors and/or headphones, all of which are DC coupled enabling them to provide control voltage to external analog equipment, and 2 MIDI ports for connecting up your external MIDI devices such as a keyboard. Additionally, if you are looking to expand, the Quantum 2 Audio Interface allows you to daisy chain up to 4 Quantum 2 interfaces via Thunderbolt to create up to 80 ins and outs. The BNC word clock I/O is designed to ensure the Quantum 2 interfaces and any other digital audio devices are tightly integrated with one another.

PreSonus Studio One Integration

The Quantum 2 is tightly integrated with Presonus' Studio One software, opening up a whole new world of control. The Studio One Artist software provides users with a complete recording package to get you set up and ready to record and mix. Additionally, you can also control wirelessly using the Launch Studio One Remote on a iPad.

Note that the speed of your processor, amount of RAM and size and speed of your hard drive will greatly affect the overall performance of your recording system. Also, a more powerful system (faster processor with more RAM) will allow for lower latency (signal delay) than you might experience while monitoring audio signals.
