Using 20 years of expertise, Bitwig Studio has been created by musicians, for musicians, including all the best concepts the Bitwig team could come up with... and then some!
The interface offers fast and efficient workflows and flexible editing, allowing you to record and produce your music without getting frustrated by technology. Bitwig Studio's arranger is a perfect mix of editing power, ease-of-use and flexibility.
The Arranger clip launcher is a non-linear environment that lets you trigger clips in real-time, and audio can be stretched to fit your track instantly - perfect for roughing out ideas or creating music more spontaneously. In addition to traditional track automation, automation can also be recorded and packaged inside clips, both on the clip launcher and the arranger.
The Unified Modulation System allows the use of Macro Controls, Note Expressions, LFOs, and Envelope Followers to modulate any device parameter, including nested internal devices and VST plug-ins. This semi-modular system is simple to use and expands the sound capabilities of a device way beyond the confines of its individual parameters.
Bitwig Studio also comes with a complete complement of editing tools for both audio and MIDI. It's fast to use with advanced layered editing, multiple audio events per clip plus much more. The foundation is a state-of-the-art audio engine under the hood, with full multi-processing support, a unified modulation system, 32/64-bit VST plug-in bridging, and VST plug-in crash protection.
Bitwig Studio offers flexible screensets to take full advantage of your monitor configuration. The user interface has been meticulously crafted to make your music creation experience fun and intuitive. Multiple users can jam on the same document, and everything can be captured in the document's arrangement.
Bitwig has partnered with a host of the best sound designers, providing you with thousands of presets. There are over 50 devices and FX as well as Container devices, Note FX and Modulator devices. With the ability to add your favourite VST effects and instruments, using them alongside the internal devices, there's no stopping where your music could go.
Clavinet, Rhodes and Melody Synth come from Berlin-based acoustic/electronic collective Tolcha, whereas four velocity layers of Wurlitzer funk come from Dr. Power, over five octaves. A warm and realistic acoustic bass sound comes from Manchester, UK artist Sneaky, sampled in the Tolcha studio. Nektar Technology provide the acoustic drums, featuring a large collection that uses many articulations and a variety of sticks.
Future updates will include a Network Sync function, allowing multiple users on separate computers to jam without falling out of sync and an online collaboration feature, making it easy for you to share your work with others. This means composing on the same project from different locations, wherever you are in the world.
The M-Track MkII USB Audio Interface delivers professional control in a portable package. Plug-and-play functionality, together with included Ableton Live Lite and a WAVES Audio plugin allow you to start creating music with ease.
A versatile array of inputs is included with the M-Track MkII to provide brilliant results with any type of audio source. Each channel offers a combined XLR and balanced 1/4'' input, designed to work with microphones or other Lo-Z sources. Phantom power delivers 48 volts to the XLR inputs for use of professional condenser microphones. The 1/4'' input can be used to receive line level signal; Channel 2 can be switched to allow an electric guitar or bass to be plugged directly into the M-Track, and the gain knob ensures proper input levels.
Zero-latency monitoring of input signals is featured on the M-Track MkII, either through speakers or headphones. A monitor mix knob adjusts the balance between direct inputs and playback from your computer software, making it easy for you to record new parts or add to an existing composition.
