Vintage-Style Looping Delay

The 4ms Dual Looping Delay is a highly versatile, vintage-style looping delay Eurorack module, ideal for a range of applications and input sources. The 4ms DLD module bases its design on vintage looping delay modules, based on the principle of long storage times and dedicated looping. The looping delay works by recording and playing continuously, while the recording can be halted at any time with the Infinite Repeat parameters. The organic yet bright sounds are attributed to the premium-grade circuitry and components, providing an innovative way to implement delays. The module provides two independent channels for looping and delay control, boasting almost 3 minutes of delay time per channel.

High-Grade Audio Fidelity & Performance

The module boasts a high sampling rate of 48kHz/16-bit, capturing every nuance of your input sources for optimal audio performance. The module itself is extremely quiet thanks to the low-noise and low-jitter design. This advanced audio processor, providing a crystal-clear delay which can be used for a range of applications. The DLD module can be used for everything from vocals to instruments, as well as being created for affecting and creating sampled loops. The normalled connections of the IO can be used in a range of modes including mono, stereo or dual modes. There is also a sample-accurate clock output for optimal synchronisation capabilities with external modules.

Wide Range & In-Depth Controls

Providing up to 3 minutes of delay/loop time per channel means you can experiment with your sounds to the maximum. Its high-end digital delay is sycnhronised to a common time base for added flexibility. The delay and loop time can be set as musical beats instead of seconds using the Time knob in conjunction with the switch and CV jack. The time switches allow you to change the range of the Time attenuator all the way from 1/8th notes to 32 bars. Triggered toggle inputs are included for Infinite Hold and Reversing capabilities, providing inorganic sounds. The firmware of the module has been updated to version 5 with a range of new features including Ping Lock for each channel and 24-bit audio which is selectable with a jumper.

Design & Layout

CV jacks are included on the module for controlling the Time, Level and Feedback sources. There is also Send and Return connectivity on each channel, allowing you to feedback to external modules. The firmware is updated in a highly unique way, by playing an audio file directly into the DLD, eliminating the need for connecting the module to a computer or other digital device. The ergonomic design features Digital Level control, independent of the dry/wet signal mix and loop clock outputs for each channel. The ergonomic design is complete with precision attenuators and 20 patch points in total for optimal modular control.
