The Nektar Impact iX61 features octave and transpose buttons that shift the keyboard up or down -3/+4 octaves, or -/+12 semi-tones. Pressing a key combination changes the octave and transpose buttons function to send out MMC transport functions enabling you to start, stop and record directly from your keyboard. Also included are pitch bend and modulation wheels, and a foot switch input jack.

Setting up the Impact iX61 is quick and easy as the controller is already configured for many of the most popular DAWs. Nektar DAW integration adds some of the most important features to the Impact iX61 including transpose button assignment for track or patch change and volume control for the currently selected track. DAWs supported by Nektar DAW integration include: Bitwig Studio, Cubase, Digital Performer, FL Studio, GarageBand, Logic, Nuendo, Reaper, Reason, Sonar and Studio One.
