Key Features
The EC Series is Fender's first range of artist signature amplifiers, bearing the name of legendary guitarist Eric Clapton. The EC Vibro-Champ is a variation on the '57 Champ designed with a '50s-era output tube bias tremolo for a more throbbing pulse than later Fender tremolo circuits, and a switchable power attenuator to reduce the speaker output.
Product Ref: 34410
Built to Clapton's own exacting specifications, the EC Vibro-Champ features hand-wired all-tube circuitry based on the late-'50s Fender Champ amp model 5F1. It has a Groove Tubes® 6V6GT output tube, two 12AX7 preamp tubes and a 5Y3GT rectifier tube. The single 8" Weber® Signature speaker has an alnico magnet for dynamic, sensitive response.
Internal speaker disconnect allows the use of an external 4-Ohm speaker enclosure, while the finger-joined solid pine enclosure gives the amp a warm, resonant tone. A deluxe fitted cover is included to keep the dust off when not in use.
