Key Features
Product Ref: 124345
The dense and heavy nature of the mahogany body gives the Dean Thoroughbred impressive sustain and resonance. Delivering a warm and overall balanced tone, the mahogany ensures the tone features plenty of depth and an excellent amount of grind and bite. The Thoroughbred body features the distinctive single cutaway and curvaceous shape, offering a classic appearance and comfortable play.
The Dean Thoroughbred Stealth guitar has a mahogany, C shaped neck that allows smooth and comfortable play. The neck is coupled with an ebony fingerboard for incredibly bright and snappy tones which extends the sonic characteristics of the mahogany.
The neck features a set-in construction with a smooth heel, providing advanced playability while optimising resonance transfer between the neck and body. Unlike bolt-on constructions, set-in necks can be sculpted into a smoother and ergonomic heel to provide seamless accessibility to the higher register.
Established in 1976 in Illinois by Dean Zelinsky, the Dean Guitar Company fast became the "go to" manufacturer for hard wearing distinctive guitars. Now synonymous with the rock and metal genres, Dean Guitars have always maintained their position at the forefront of guitar design and technological advancement in the manufacture of quality instruments designed specifically for louder players.
