Yamaha have always been recognised for their quality and the Pacifica electric guitars are no exception. Whilst the Pacifica guitar series has already been popular for their affordable prices, now they have introduced something a little special. If you're into heavy blues or classic hard rock this guitar could be the choice for you. Many fans of classic rock sounds including 80's legends such as Poison, Warrant and Van Halen, have found this guitar is the perfect choice when they want something that little bit different.
Designed to be player focused, the popular Pacifica range offers sound, feel and versatility ready for any style or stage. When Yamaha set out to design the 510V guitar, they decided to try and make their first single pickup electric guitar. The result is a cool looking, sleek body with a unique expanse of bare scratchplate in the middle! The solo pickup is none other than a new version of the impressive Seymour Duncan P-Rails which produces humbucking, single coil and P-90 tones with the aid of a three way selector switch! Yamaha worked with Seymour Duncan to create this Trembucker version and so have exclusivity on the Trembucker-spaced P-Rails for OEM use.
The modified, vintage style of the Yamaha Pacifica 510V comes partly from the gloss top coat over a vintage tinted neck. The Maple neck is smooth, substantial and very comfortable to play. As highly playable as any boutique guitar. The tinted, gloss-finished neck with the aged mint-green pickguard are unmistakeably custom-shop hot-rod cool.
The unique P-Rails pickup on Yamaha's Pacifica 510V provides a wealth of tonal possibilities. The single pickup design sacrifices nothing in terms of versatility but gives your sound focus like no other guitar. The humbucker sound is hot with plenty of grunt for fat, full sounding rock chords. For those classic rock riffs this guitar has a host of options with the single coil tone whilst the P-90 sound is highly usable for rock and blues. The volume and tone controls allow even greater versatility and tweaking of your sound.
The Yamaha Pacifica 510V has a solid Alder body, a feature often found only on more expensive guitars, and which forms the backbone of Yamaha's quality sound. This is complimented with a selection of quality hardware. The TUSQ XL nut and string tree is precision engineered to couple the strings' vibrations to the neck and bring out hidden harmonics and richness in every note. 500 times more slippery than graphite, the Teflon-impregnated material eliminates string-binging and ensures tuning stability even with heavy tremolo use or massive string bends. Precision, pro-spec Grover locking machineheads lock strings automatically for stable tuning and ultra-fast string changes and the Wilkinson VS50 Bridge matches precision zinc saddles with a hardened steel, knife-edge baseplate and zinc block for outstanding feel, stability and tone.
