Key Features
The Fender Jason Smith Rascal Bass Guitar was originally designed in Fender's Custom Shop by master builder Jason Smith, combining a '60s-era bass VI body with distinctive components and a unique character that is perfect for any bassist with a flair for the unconventional. The flat sawn Maple neck has a Rosewood fingerboard with a ''C'' profile and 9.5'' radius, perfect for bending notes with ease while also ensuring smooth, comfortable playability. The trio of Seymour Duncan Lipstick Tube pickups combine with the resonant Alder body to produce rumbling lows, punchy mids and crisp highs with a classic '60s vibe. Complete with a Coronado headstock, Guild Starfire bass bridge, 5-way pickup switching, push/pull master volume controls and a pearl white pickguard, the Rascal bass guitar is truly one of a kind.

Constructed from an Alder body with bolt on Maple neck the Rascal Bass is lightweight and produces a thick and dynamic tone with plenty of balance and power thanks to the soft and light nature of the wood. Additionally the slim ''C'' shaped Maple neck provides smooth playability with a bright and punchy tone.
Featuring a carefully fitted synthetic bone nut the Fender Rascal Bass delivers an increased resonance and brighter tonality. When compared to traditional plastic and Tusq materials used to construct guitar nuts, synthetic bone improves the vibration transfer between the string and tuning machines without dampening the tone.
