Key Features
Product Ref: 75979
Fender’s Deluxe Dimension V Bass has an Ash wood body with a double-cutaway design that hugs the players body for a comfortable play. The Ash wood delivers a twangy, sweet tone that has a soft feel to it, creating firm lows, leasing highs, and a slightly scooped midrange. The bass also features knurled flat-top control knobs, a 3-ply black/white/black pickguard, nickel/chrome hardware, and an aged cherry burst finish to create a beautiful look.
The basses Maple neck contributes some tightness and cut to the overall tonality, creating an edge of sizzle in the highs and bright characteristics. The Rosewood fingerboard helps to fur up the Maples tone, giving it a little warmth and sweetness to produce sparkling highs and thick lows. The Maple/Rosewood combination creates an open mid-range with a snappy attack, whilst its modern “C” shape offers a comfortable play, and its 12” radius and medium jumbo frets provide comfort and speed.
A set of Dimension bass humbuckers provide powerfully diverse tones, creating rich sounds that span across the tonal range. With a 5 way switch offering a variety of different tonal possibilities, the humbuckers produce smooth highs, beefy lows, and punchy mids that can cut through the mix. The pickups are combined with a muscular 18V preamp and a 3-band EQ to shape and create a range of sonic capabilities.
Featuring a carefully fitted synthetic bone nut, the Deluxe Dimension V Bass delivers an increased resonance and brighter tonality. When compared to traditional plastic and Tusq materials used to construct guitar nuts, synthetic bone improves the vibration transfer between the string and tuning machines without dampening the tone.
The Dimension V bass features Fender’s HiMass bridge, increasing the basses sustain, while also enhancing its intonation accuracy and tuning stability. Its high mass ensures the strings stay stable, and allows the bass to deliver an improved attack. The zinc saddles provide the Dimension V bass with a thick, round tone, whilst its wide spacing ensures that string have plenty of room.
