DMT Design Lipstick

With a DMT Design lipstick pickup in the neck position, players can achieve a rich and well-rounded sound. The original lipstick pickups were made with actual lipstick tubes that were bought from a cosmetics manufacturer. These lipstick tubes then had electronics inserted within ad therefore made them a low-cost guitar pickup at the time. Currently, the production of these pickups does not involve cosmetic lipstick tubes, but tubes that have been designed and machined especially to match the original design.

DMT Design Humbucker

Loaded with a DMT Designed humbucking pickup in the bridge position the Gran Sport delivers a powerful and punchy tone with plenty of bottom end and sparkling highs.

Solid Mahogany Body

The Dean Gran Sport features an all-mahogany body which produces clear, distinctive tones. Its mahogany build adds resonance, and delivers an authentic, punchy, bluegrass tone, making it ideal for the guitar players wanting to transition to a bluegrass banjo sound.
