Quality wooden construction

The body and headjoint of this piccolo are carved from beautiful African blackwood. This helps to give it a golden, natural-sounding tone, as well as making it a pleasant and comfortable instrument to hold. A carefully carved wave headjoint makes it easier to control the dynamics of the instrument, as well as contributing to a richer, more focussed lower register.

Please be aware, it's recommended that wooden flutes are not played outdoors or in cold conditions. The warm air being blown through them can cause the inside to expand quicker than the outside, which can sometimes cause the body of the instrument to crack.
