Old Blood Noise Endeavors created the Flat Light as an experiment into the flanger sound effect. The pedal is designed to offer musicians something a little different from the traditional "aeroplane" sound of the classic flanger and gives you more room to experiment with your sound.
The Flat Light can create a highly resonant and metallic sound, through to reverb-like delays. It can also operate as a traditional flanger pedal, should you wish, but it also gives you the potential to create a much wider soundscape with the flange effect as the foundation on which you can build your sound.
The Flat Light pedal has traditional controls for rate and depth, letting you control the speed and the width of the waveform. The mix control lets you dial in the exact amount of the effect you require, so you can maintain clarity even when the sound is drenched in the flange effect. An additional shift control allows you to alter the frequency, while an external expression pedal input allows you to directly interact with the controls. The Tilt footswitch allows you to pause the wave's movement at maximum and gives even more creative potential.
The Flat Light is hand-crafted by Old Blood Noise Endeavors in Oklahoma. It features a rugged metal chassis to last a lifetime of gigging and rehearsing. The Flat Light has a true bypass operation for un-coloured tone and the ability to be placed anywhere in your signal chain with optimal interactivity with your other pedals.
Brady Smith and Seth McCarroll started Old Blood Moon Endeavours from an Oklahoma garage with a musician-focused passion for creating hand-made pedals. They have gained much popularity and many fans over the years, and now their production pedals feature on many pro-guitarists' pedalboards. They have a unique take on pedal design with a real 'boutique' feel.
