The KHDK clean boost is designed with their unique circuitry to produce a warm, tube-like boost that will be appreciated by players who like natural, subtle gain. The clean boost can be used to either simply boost your guitar, or as a powerful tool for shaping your tone on quality all-tube amps, allowing organic and transparent EQ controls to develop your sound.
Powerful Controls
Designed to act more like a powerful shaping tool, the clean boost features a range of controllable parameters that allows you to shape your tone. Controls ranging from gain, volume and hi/lo switch, to bass and treble.
Gain
The gain control affects the unity gain of circuitry, providing control over the pedals gain stage to shape the overall effect. Adjusting this parameter increases the amount of boost the peal produces.
Volume
The volume control adjusts the level of output the pedal has, allowing you to dial in as much boost as you desire, without affecting your guitar or amp.
Hi/Lo Switch
The Hi/Lo switch is tied direly into the pedals gain, allowing you to switch between a high-pass and a low-pass filter. When switched into low, the pedal can provide a warm, tube-like boost that’s perfect for playing rhythm. When flicked into high mode, the pedal adds saturation, compression, and a powerful midrange boost, perfect for playing powerful rhythm sections and soloing.
Bass
The bass control can be used to adjust the guitars bass response and mid-frequency gain, enhancing the tones low end. Dial in little bass to create a tight bass response that’s perfect when playing though overdriven tube amps. Dial in more bass to enhance single note soloing, allowing each note to be powerful.
Treble
The treble control offers a passive, low-pass filter that can cut or boost the guitars high end, while providing a wide frequency range. Cutting the highs on bright amps will create a warm tone, perfect for strumming and playing rhythm.
