Stylish Reissue

The QMMG is making a comeback for all lovers of the original QMMG. The 2018 black and gold reissue will be a limited edition module so make sure to bag one of these unique modules before they sell out. Functionality is identical to original, while the top board has been re-engineered to use analogue pots for mode selection instead of analogue switches. The only change to the bottom board is the addition of reverse power protection. The signal path and circuit have not changed.

Feedback Control

The feedback control has different functionality depending on the mode setting. It BOTH mode, it damps the ringing of the LPG circuit, making the amplitude envelope modulation tighter and shorter. In VCA mode, it can subtly increase the overall gain. In LP or HP mode, feedback provides a voltage controlled resonance.

Multiple Modes

Onboard are multiple modes that can be selected for each of the four independent channels. VCA mode is great for utilising the module as a voltage controlled mixer, or for processing control signals. In VCA mode, the GATE will operate as a voltage controlled amplifier, whilst the Offset and Control Signal Input provides control of the Amplitude domain. BOTH mode is best used for very fast envelopes, pulses or really short Gate signals. In this mode, the Gate operates simultaneously in the amplitude and frequency domains, allowing you to dampen the sound. Think of it as like applying your hand to the skin of a drum while striking the head, or palm muting when playing guitar. In LP and HP modes, the GATE will operate mostly on the frequency domain, acting as a low-pass or high-pass filter, and the Control Offset will act as the cutoff control.
