Using Variax HD technology, you have the flexibility to instantly change between 60 meticulously modelled sounds. With everything from classic Strat sounds to full-bodied acoustics, the Variax is loaded with everything you need to play a full spectrum of genres.

Endless tuning possibilities

The Variax doesn't only offer different guitar models, it also lets you change the tuning of the guitar on the fly. The alternate tuning knob lets you easily swap between 11 customisable tuning presets. Gone are the days of retuning between songs or swapping guitars. The Variax lets you play in any tuning you want. Not only is this useful for live performances, it's also great for playing at home or for quick tuning changes when laying down tracks in the studio - so you can just let your creativity run free.

Create the perfect instrument

Let your imagination run wild. If you want to dive deeper into creating a unique sound, Variax Workbench HD software lets you customise the tones available from your Variax guitar. Mix and match different guitar bodies and pickup types to make a sound that is truly your own. You can even adjust things like the pickups' position, level, and wiring.

There's more. It also lets you adjust the pitch and volume of each string along parallel pitch for creating a 12-string sound. This advanced control allows you to intricately sculpt your sound until it's just right. Get truly creative with a world of new possibilities.

A lightweight alder body provides a clear, full-bodied sound, while a maple neck with Macassar ebony fretboard adds extra attack and sustain.

Everything from the rounded neck profile to the floating tremolo bridge has been designed by James Tyler to provide great tone, amazing playability, and excellent tuning stability. Vintage-voiced single coil Alnico pickups are wound to James Tyler's exact specifications - providing a clear, classic sound. It’ll sound great on its own, or can be blended with the Variax system to create a completely unique tone.
